Septic Tank FAQs
Grease Trap FAQs
Septic tanks should be pumped on average every 3 years, depending on how many people in a household and the tank size.
At G.King Septics we will send you a reminder prior to your next maintenance service, so you can stay on top of your cleaning schedule. Regular maintenance keeps your septic tank flowing freely, saving you from unexpected backups and repairs.
Signs that your septic tank needs to be pumped include:
• Strong sewage smells coming from your domestic septic tank
• Unpleasant smells coming up through your toilet or drains in your home
• Slow draining bathrooms or backflow
• The toilet is slow to flush or starts to fill up after flushing
• Gurgling sounds in drains
• You haven’t had your septic pumped in 3 or more years
• Wet ground around septic tank
For instances when your toilet is blocked or even overflowing, G.King Septics offer an emergency 24/7 services to help get you out of a smelly and messy situation!
Avoid flushing non-biodegradable materials like hair, diapers, cigarette butts, matches and feminine hygiene products. Also be weary of “flushable wipes”…we don’t recommend flushing them at all.
If the septic drain is able to be located right away, a standard job takes around 30 minutes.
We understand that budget is an important consideration. However, providing an accurate quote requires a more detailed discussion. Factors influencing costs include:

We prioritise environmentally responsible waste disposal. Our vacuum trucks transport waste to the closest dumping sites which are all regulated by local health departments, water boards and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA). As an approved EPA waste transporter, we're committed to meeting stringent environmental standards from the time we collect waste through to dumping.
